I began my work with animals as an assistant in my hometown vet clinic at the age of 15. After graduating from Monona Grove High School in 1999, I went on to get my B.S. in biology and international conservation from UW-Madison. I have been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2005. I joined the staff of CCVC in September 2006. In 2017, I completed my specialty certification in Anesthesia.
My home is shared with my cats Esme & Stuart, and several aquariums, one of which houses my pufferfish, Guillermo, and a dog named Birdie.
My hobbies include camping, fishing, gardening, baking, crafts and sewing. I put up with winter to enjoy the other three seasons. I’m an avid state park enthusiast and enjoy canoeing and tent camping. Quite often, I use the staff as guinea pigs with my baked goods.
